Win PREMIUM clients with this offer hack

You just lost a client to someone charging 10x more →

Same timeline, deliverables, basic skill level…

But while you pitched "website design," your competitor pitched "The Authority Site Build - a system that turns your expertise into client bookings within 60 days."

This is happening everywhere right now.

Freelancers with identical skills are getting wildly different rates – and it has nothing to do with talent.

Want to be the freelancer charging 10x (and winning clients)?

The problem

You're competing on skills when high-paying clients actually buy clarity.

The benefit of solving it

Stop competing with every other freelancer who "does what you do with a premium offer that clients understand, want, and happily pay 3-5x more for.

Why what you've tried has failed

Clients don’t care about your process, and they don’t pay more for “better design.” They pay for better outcomes, better results,

Here's how to solve it

Take a good, objective look at your offer.

Can a 5th grader understand what you do in one sentence?

Is it obvious what problem you solve and for whom?

If you're failing to be clear here (and most freelancers are), here's what to do...

#1 focus on the transformation.

Instead of "I do social media management," try "I help career coaches book 5 qualified calls per month through LinkedIn."

Instead of "graphic design services," try "brand identity that attracts luxury clients."

Tell them exactly what they're buying.

#2 map it out.

Break your work into 3-5 named phases.

This makes you look methodical instead of random.

"The Launch-Ready Brand System" sounds way more valuable than "logo design."

#3 give specific outcomes (what most freelancers miss)

The more specific your outcome, the less clients question your price.

When someone knows exactly what they're getting and why they need it, price becomes secondary.

They're not comparing you to other "web designers" anymore…

They're comparing you to not solving their problem at all.

The clients paying premium rates aren't necessarily getting better work.

They're just getting clearer promises.

So don’t sell website design →

Sell business results.

Best,
Jamie

P.S. Need an easy starting point? Take your current offer and rewrite it using this format: "I help [who] go from [current frustrating situation] to [dream outcome] in [timeframe]."

Then watch how differently people respond to your pitches.

👋 Morning, Workforce

You don’t need a six-figure software stack to look like a seasoned pro. Sometimes, the most elite move is renaming a file the way an ops director would.

🔍 Lead Story:

High-Trust Freelancers Build Confidence With Operational Precision

In interviews with agency buyers and marketing leads at companies like HubSpot, Wistia, and Mailchimp, one phrase shows up when describing the best contractors:

→ “I didn’t have to explain how we work — they already got it.”

As you’ve probably guessed, that has NOTHING to do with creative genius.

It’s about operational fluency… all the quiet signals that say, “I’ve done this before.”

💡 What advanced freelancers are doing:

  • Using naming conventions that match client orgs

    → “RevOps_LeadMagnet_V1_JBrindle_2025-08-05.pdf” not “FINAL-final-fixes-last-one-I-swear.pdf”

  • Mirroring internal comms formats

→ Using bulleted weekly recaps like internal PMs do

  • Documenting feedback decisions proactively

→ “Adding this to the Project Log so we don’t lose it — here’s the thread link for context”

The point isn’t being perfect.

It’s reducing ambient friction — so the client’s brain never has to work harder because of you.
